The philosophical writings of Anna Maria van Schurman, Margaret Cavendish, Anne Conway, Mary Astell, Catharine Trotter Cockburn, Damaris Cudworth Masham, Harriet Taylor Mill, Harriet Martineau, Margaret Fuller, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, Lou Andreas Salome, Germaine de Staehl, Sophie Germain, and Mary Sommerville were influential.
