Meer info Very uncommon convolute. [1] OCLC: 45868103; [2] John Sharp (1572-1647), Church of Scotland minister, banished for life in 1606, went to France and became a renown protestant theologian. He was expelled from France in 1630 by Richelieu and returned to Edinburgh, where he became professor of divinity. OCLC: 43149867; [3] John Arrowsmith (1602 Gateshead - 1659 Cambridge) was educated at St Johns College, Cambridge. He became a preacher at King's Lynn, Norfolk. He was elected as Master of St Johns, Cambridge on April 11, 1644. He took his doctorate in 1647 and became Vice-Chancellor of the University the same year. In 1651, he was elected Regius Professor of Divinity, and, in 1653, Master of Trinity College, Cambridge. He resigned his professorship in 1655 and died February 1659. OCLC: 7350382; [4] Very rare thesis on excummunication of Moses Camius, a pupil of Moses Amyraut (1596-1664). Also known as Amyraldus, this French Protestant theologian, metaphysician, and professor at the protestant University of Saumur, had as many as a hundred students in attendance upon his lectures. He took part in all the great controversies on predestination and Arminianism of his time and is perhaps most noted for his modifications to Calvinist theology regarding the nature of Christ's atonement, which is referred to as Amyraldism or Amyraldianism. No copies of this thesis described in the U.S., only 2 in Europe. OCLC: 32706383.
